Spirulina is a natural nutritional supplement that is enriched with proteins, vitamins, minerals, essential amino acids and essential fatty acids like gamma linolenic acid. It is called a wonderful gift or wonder food of the earth. Spirulina (Arthrospira platensis) belongs to genus phylum cyanobacteria. Cyanobacteria are classified as either blue-green algae or as blue-green bacteria.
Spirulina or its active constituent, C-phycocyanin is promising in chemoprevention, neuroprotection, antiviral action, cardiovascular protection, hepatoprotection, anti-inflammatory action, antioxidant action and protection against chemical- and drug-induced toxicities.

Dosage & Administration
2 to 4 capsules daily or as advised by the physician.
Interaction
There are no reports suggesting that spirulina interacts with any conventional medication.
